ROMP Whiteboard video shoot: DAY ONE
Holy moley. Today was a long (but great) day. We spent a good 12+ hours filming with brief breaks to turn off the hot lights, and get some air outside our newly-constructed studio. But after a few minutes, it was LITERALLY BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD. Gary figured out the ideal settings to film the drawing, to maximize the black of the ink and the white of the white board. Rather than drawing directly in front of the whiteboard, I also got the hang of drawing at from the side (so that my giant melon didn't come into view of the camera). This took a while to get used to, but after a good 3-4 hours straight, you start to learn.
Whew. We got a ton done today, but we have a lot more to go this week. On the bright side, we've figured out a method that works well and the video playback is looking preeeetty awesome. Well that's all for today. Gary and I are gonna sleep like babies and get back to work first thing in the morning. Massive thanks to my dear wife Amy for taking photos, feeding us and periodically checking in on our well-being! Stay tuned for more progress tomorrow.
